Christian College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2001. Situated at the foot hills of the low range of the picturesque Kodai hills at Oddanchtram in Dindigul District, the Institution boasts of excellent infrastructure, sophisticated laboratories, a library, good Computer Centre, with education provided by a set of fantabulous teachers. In a nutshell, CCET is a paradigm of service and quality education. The college has a total of 80 teaching staff and 70 technical staff members. Around 1150 students are studying in the college. Vision We seek to bring out the fullest ability in every student, irrespective of one's cultural, economical, social, religious or ethnic background, in the Spirit of Christ, for the Greater Glory of God and for the service of man.Mission The college aims at imparting Christian spiritual values of hard work, honesty, charity, service to the needy and nationalism. Accordingly, the students are moulded to abide by the Christian and Gandhian teachings of truth, integrity, ethical behaviour, equity, fairness and love.
More than three decades ago, a group of Indian Christian Medical Doctors established a Society called Christian Fellowship to provide quality Health Care at low cost for the rural people of Oddanchatram and Ambilikkai area. Soon, others joined this band of Doctors and the Society expanded its service to include education and the economic development of the area. It is now registered under the Societies Act 27S.No of 1974 as Christian Education Health and Development Society. The Society provides Medical treatment through its Hospital CFCH, Ambilikkai.The Hospital has a multi specialty in surgery, Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynecology, TB, Leprosy, Dermatology, Urology, Nephrology, ENT and Cancer Units. Primary health care is offered by the Society's 24 Mini Health Centers located around Ambilikkai, Oddanchatram and in the neighbouring Panchayat Union blocks. More emphasis is given for preventive and promotional health care services. The Society believes that maintaining a sound body must go hand in hand with a sound mind. Everyone acknowledges that good education is the only way to help our young people to grow into responsible nation builders. To motive this, the society established Schools, Balwadies, a Polytechnic and a College of Nursing. The academic year 2001 saw the birth of Christian College of Engineering & Technology under the aegis of the society, opened up new avenues of education for the rural youth who would otherwise find higher education beyond their reach. The college is recognized by the Govt. of Tamilnadu and it is affiliated to Anna University. It is co-educational college and is self-supporting. Founders To Provide Medical. Educational, Developmental needs of the people irrespective of caste, class and creed. These societies are registered under the Societies Registration Act and running Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Health & Development Projects (W.H.O.) All the courses run by the Educational Institutions are recognized by the concerned Universities / Govt. of Tamilnadu. It caters to a student population of more than 4500 under the guidance and supervision of highly qualified staff. The Institutions which shape and sharpen the young minds attract students from all parts of our country."
